Ok, so maybe all deltas are kinda pathological...some just more so. This one from the
Ilemi Triangle really caught my eye, given its nearly ideal form and the lack of a lake at its terminus.
Overall this entire region appears to have an intriguing paleohydrological history of larger discharges, drainage captures, drainage integration, and large scale avulsions. Really worth a detailed look. Some of the patterns are conspicuous.
Admittedly, I know nothing of this area. First time I have checked it out, but I am intrigued.
Take me there.
