Zagros Mountains, Iran

Cool Name, cooler landscape, I think of the Zagros Mountains as being Iranian, but I've learned today that they actually continue to the northwest, forming the NE border of Iraq, and into SE Turkey.  I enjoyed the geological map of the area at the Geological Survey of Iran, which describes the southern portion of this complex as the "Simply Folded Belt."  Flash Earth link.
