The band across the center of the image is a very starkly demarcated band or 'streak' of barchan dunes marching eastward across a barren stretch of Wyoming. A remarkably well-defined aeolian corridor. Looks like the morphology of the dunes may vary from barchanoid to parabolic from west to east.
