This is my first post to Pathological Geomorphology and I'm gonna take us under the sea!
The sea floor geomorphology on the continental slope in the Gulf of Mexico is pockmarked by basins 10-30 km across. The floor of these basins are dropping out as salt deep in the subsurface evacuates and moves laterally. Wicked!
