This is a spectacular example of an entrenched meander in a gorge that cuts through a sequence of tightly folded sedimentary rocks. This is near Karagandy, Kazakhstan, approximately N47E66. I have no other details, but the discontinuous channel pattern within the gorge is intriguing as well. There is no end of interesting geomorphology in Kazakhstan. Anyone have any details about this area?
