After using up a couple of the most obvious deltas in the world, here is probably the least obvious - I thought I would add an English delta. Have you noticed that most examples of a "Bird's Foot Delta" don't actually look like a bird's foot? At least this one looks a bit like a duck's foot.
There are very few deltas in the United Kingdom, most of our rivers terminate in estuaries, firths or rias. This is a delta where the River Derwent flows into Derwent Water in the Lake District of England. There is, somewhat contrarily, only one lake in the Lake District, Bassenthwaite Lake, most are meres or waters.
